The dealership made me a more than fair offer on my 2020

The dealership made me a more than fair offer on my 2020 Explorer. The salesman was friendly and helpful. The finance manager had everything ready and thoroughly explained to me all of the paperwork.

I have purchased 2 vehicles from Jones Ford in Shallotte

I have purchased 2 vehicles from Jones Ford in Shallotte NC in the past two years. They have always been very responsive and great to work with. The environment is one that is low key & low pressure. They take their time to help you get the vehicle you desire, and do not try and shove you into one that they have on their lot, trying to just "close" the sale. Jason was great on both of my purchases, and James, who assisted Jason on my most recent was a pleasure to work with as well. While other dealers were charging full retail or adding surcharges to their vehicles, Jones Ford did the opposite and worked with me to give me what I considered good deals on both. I will continue to recommend Jones Ford to all of my family members and friends. Keep up the great work!

Never trust Jones Ford

I ordered a 2022 maverick check for up date twice a month this was June 18th 2021. To day is March 21st 2023 and all txts I sent every reply was I will check on it. Contacted Ford and they told me it was never ordered. I feel Jones Ford never did anything to help me

Big company taking advantage of the working people

Very disappointed in my local and only nearby Ford dealer. To start of explaining my disappointment it goes back to March when I had all 8 of my fuel injectors install on my 2003 F350 6.0L diesel. Then 8 months later to have one of those same 8 injectors (#4 which wasn’t on of the ones that was bad in the beginning #3,#5 & #8) get stuck in the open position in which I told them that was the case upon the time I dropped it off.Any one that knows Diesel engines knows what this spells. The stuck #4 injector took out the #4 engine cylinder which in return made my work truck useless and put me out of work until probably late January at the earliest. Then here comes the slap in the face. I was told that I was pretty much right that any injector had got stuck in the open position and it killed the engine and that it would be covered under warranty but I owe them almost nearly $400 for telling me that I now need a new engine for over $17,000 (no it’s not too many zeros, you read it correctly) that they will have to find and that I was responsible for all out of my pocket. So after I spoke up by saying the warranty part that you put in caused the problem I was told that I didn’t have to pay the $400 but I still needed an engine. If I liked they would locate one call me in one or two days in which I said ok to get the ball rolling. Now going on week number 2 still nothing. Basically told me something to get me out their face which is what most do when they can’t feed you false information.

Poor service and no customer care

I took my Ford Explorer to Jones on 8/23/2021 for a leaking water pump. I knew the repair would be expensive, but the Explorer was in good condition and no other issues. To start the Service Writer didn’t listen to mine complain (told her the car was leaking water on the passenger side of car toward the front of engine). She wrote it up as leaking water passenger floorboard. I told her that was incorrect, but she didn’t change it. A couple of days later I was given the estimate $ 2,336 and told them to repair the car. It was 9/8/2021 before they had my car ready. In looking at the bill I notice that a charge for repairing a leak in the Highside AC service port, and they repaired that (this had to be something they damaged during the serve, but I was charged for it). Fast forward and I found my AC wasn’t cooling. Took back to them and they said the Clutch was blowing the fuse and the compressor had to be replaced. Being I have never had any issue with the AC I question them about the problem and the additional $1600 repair cost. They were unhelpful and said it was a different issue (how I was charged for a repair they did to the AC on the first service). I asked for the part and when I got it, the Tech spend time wrapping it up in bags and tape and sealing the box with a large amount of tape. I am sure I was charged for this. So, in looking at the first repair I was charged for 24 units of R-134A refrigerant and on the 10/12 I was charged for 32 units of R-134A refrigerant. So, which one is correct and was the low amount what caused the clutch to burn up? I will never purchase a vehicle from Jone’s Ford or allow them to service vehicles.

Poor service

Critical: Professionalism, Quality I was having issues with speedometer and fuel guage not registering said loss of power they claim was 2 recall. One for speedometer dropping and the other i. Transmission or power train module they supposedly fixed one and said the other would be 900 to repair due to milage over 150k. I asked how long to fix they said 3 hr and had parts. I left there the next day called several time to get update then finally they called back to say they didnt have parts after originally said they were in stock. Well i picked up car to hold till they got when we drove car home the rear suspensiion Didn't work and the fluid poured out of radiator. They said they not responsible cause they did nothing to car. Turn out the bottom radiator hose was off bottom and someone had to loosen. The funny thing is the same problem happened a couple years ago when had engine replaced in same car from them. Well when i brought the issue to their attention when they called for part in they just deny having anything to do with it and the lady service assistant was over heard tellng the manager we were driving around which is out right lie the worst service dept i have every experienced from ford and i actually use to own a 6.0 diesel. Currently i have 3 F350, 1 F150 all 2015 and 2012 lincoln navigator and 72 mustang and 79 F100 have always been a ford fan so l am really upset with the service they didn't give By the way the recall they supposedly fixed is still messed up

disappointed on sales process

looking for new vehicle, but it wasn't what we thought. Salesman showed us a used vehicle we liked, asked for paperwork regarding vehicle, they couldn't provide as system was down, but salesman assured he would email to us that afternoon. Nothing. left message. nothing. called Monday to get paperwork and to test drive, told that other people interested and then they purchased vehicle.
