Alluring Combination!

I love my 2011 Nissan Maxima SV w/luxury package! It?s an alluring combination of luxury, sportiness, and value. It handles great and power delivery is very smooth. It has the feel of a car costing thousands more. The CVT takes a little to get use too, but by no means does it comprise the driving experience.

Jury is still out, brake feel is disappointing

I bought a 2011 Maxima SV with Premium and Tech package last week, replacing my single owner 1998 Maxima SE 5 speed manual. Handling: Excellent I agree with the site's review that this is a well set up ride, much more tight and confidence inspiring than my 98 SE. CVT: In automatic D or DS mode this is going to take some getting used to. D mode is a dog and I'm sure I'll never drive it in that mode. The drop in rpm's with steady gas applied is just odd. The Manual mode is quick shifting through the fake gears and once I get through the break in period I'm sure I'll be driving mainly in manual mode or DS automatic. Brakes: Disappointing pedal feel, these brakes don't respond a quickly or strongly as my 12 year old Maxima. Again I may just need to get used to this but I think if I could test it, the 60-0 distance would be just average. Comfort: Honestly what I'd expect in a modern vehicle. I like that there are a number of knobs and switches versus everything being touch screen. The speaker set up makes everything sound like it is coming from the top center of the dash until it get above 1/3 volume. Back Seat: seems pretty tight for my 4 and 7 year olds with Daddy at 6'3" comfortably in the drivers seat. Lots of feet marks already on the seat backs. This wasn't an issue in the 98 Maxima. 2 adults maybe be pretty uncomfortable in this back seat. Styling: It's hot, way better then a TL or SHO. Trying to decide if I want to get a spoiler. Dealer: Post purchase the sales manager gave me a significant amount of grief when I found a 2 inch crack in the bottom of the bumper cover while having not driven it more than a day. No paint chips or scrapes, just a stress fracture, I probably missed this when I picked it up President's Day evening. The issue is now in the service manager's and owner's hands. Recommending to a friend: Tough one, not sure yet, I need a few weeks once I'm beyond the break-in period to really tell. The torque, styling and firm ride sold me along with my proximity to the dealership. The brakes, dealer post sale service, and CVT are still open issues.

Best car for the money

I have researched and test drove the competiton before leasing the Maxima. The closest competitor is the Acura TL. But I like the styling of the Maxima better. The Maxima also has a slightly more powerful engine. I found the Maxima to be more fun to drive and the lease price was around 100 bucks cheaper a month. Car handles great and some of the technology is superior to evern higher end cars like BMW 5 series and Mercedes E-class. The Maxima engine is also more powerful than the aforemetioned entry models ( BMW 528 and Mercedes E 350). The Maxima is similar to the much more expensive Infiniti M . Buy the Maxima or Lease it like me. You wont regret it.

I love my new nissan 2011 maxima

I purchased my nissan maxima over the weekend & I love it. I love the navigation system, the Bose speakers and the body of the car...so sleek; not to mention it's fast and rides smooth! I will purchase my dvd players for the head rest at the end of february and MVP Exton Nissan will give me $600.00 off making the cost set at 1400 and yes I have it in writing. I can record my Cd's into the car but you can't burn them which means I don't have to worry about cd clutter. I love the fact you can store your phone numbers through bluetooth into the navigation system. I have the double moonroof in addition I chose the black exterior with the silver chrome. I have woodgrain in my car but I wish it was on the dash board seeing that wood grain is classy. I have heated seats and steering wheel which I have found it to be very therapeutic. Last but not least I get so much attention!!!

Excellent 4 door sports car

I used to think Nissan was junk until the past few years, they have really stepped up their game. I bought a 2011 Maxima SV with the sports package. The 290hp engine is fantastic. The car recommends premuim gas (for maximum performance), but runs great even on regular, which is awesome considering gas is going up, again! The interior is Beautiful! It doesn't look cheap and the lines and stitching are executed nicely. The front seats hold you like a glove and the seat and steering wheel heater/warmer is great in the cold. It even has bucket seats in the back. For the price, you are getting an Amazing car with a powerful engine and Infinity grade interior. Better than any Bimmer or Benz i've driven....i used to own a BMW X5 and i don't regret trading it in. I gave performance 4, instead of 5 stars, because when you give the gas a good push (which has excellent response) there is a bit of torque steer and the front ends lifts up a bit much. Make this car rear wheel drive and it's PERFECT! I am very happy to be a Maxima owner!

Great 4 door

After driving a 2000 Maxima for the last 11 years, it was time for an upgrade. Great car to drive. I like the way the CVT functions. It makes sense to me. There is plenty of power to pass cars on the side roads and plenty of low torque for fuel efficiency. It is the best of both worlds.
