Gas shortage? Higher Gas prices? So what!

So nice to drive right by those long lines for gas and higher prices after hurricane Harvey. Owned this beauty one month now, so I did the math to calculate mileage - 65 mpg oh yea!!!!! I couldn't be happier with my Ioniq Hybrid!

Everything I thought it would be

I bought this car as it had all of the advanced technical features I wanted plus it gets great gas mileage. I have filled up 3 times since owning the car (once every 2 weeks versus once every 4 days with my 2013 Elantra) and I am averaging 52 MPG. I don't see many on the road so I would qualify as an early adopter yet very happy with my purchase.

I like it but,

Everything about it is great except that I have never reached the 55 mph that it is highly recommended for therefore I am only able to give it 4 stars.

Ioniq delema

I went to test drive the Ioniq because I read some very good reviews. I liked the style of the car, very much. I like the added features that were beyond the Toyota Prius 2 for the same price. I particularly liked the rear view camera when going in reverse. There is much more range of vision and the car beeps when a pedestrian or car comes into view. The deal breaker for me were 2 things. I did not like the eco-friendly fabric on the seats and the plastic on the doors. For the price of the car, I would like to feel a nicer fabric and less plasticy feel on the rest of the car. The second deal breaker was the back seats not folding down completely flush like the Prius does. It takes away from the cargo space.

Amazingly Efficient and spacious Hybrid.

Bought this new off the showroom floor. It looks great, 4door hatchback with rear foldable seats to extend the already large trunk. The efficiency of the hybrid system and the gas engine is crazy. Since buying the car, every gas tank gets over 60MPG and it's not being babied, just driven normally. For merging on the highway or extra performance, put the car into 'S' (Sport) mode and it becomes a totally different vehicle. Gas mileage drops about 20% but performance, and throttle response is like a hot hatchback. I bought the base model, bluedrive for the best economy. Overall a great buy and excellent value for the price. The only thing I'd wish they offer is a better seat option without having to pay $8K+ for the limited edition.

Love this car!

I traded a Prius C that I loved and drove for 190K miles for a new Ioniq about a month ago. It was about the same price as a new Prius C, but has a lot more room, is more powerful, and still gets even better gas mileage. I have been getting almost 700 miles out of tank of gas. I think it looks more stylish. I can't believe I'm not seeing more of them around. Having only had it a month, I an't really speak to reliability, but Hyundai has a really long warranty and the hybrid batteries are warrantied for life.

Love this car!

Meets my every need. Especially love the gas mileage, 51.7 around town. Seat very adjustable as is steering wheel, so one can change as needed for added comfort. Safety features are great but does take getting used to the first time in cruise and car starts to slow you down when it decides traffic ahead is slowing. Did I say I love it.

Awesome gas mileage!

After driving other hybrids, I decided on the brand new Ioniq because of the style, affordability and awesome ride it offered. It doesn't feel like your driving the typical hybrid because of the power it offers. It also boasts a sport mode for those times a little extra "go" is needed. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone looking to get a lot of mpg's (currently I average 50 and drive a LOT of mountains and hills to and from work) at a good price in a stylish ride.

Love my car!

I looked both online and in person and if you are looking for the best car to gas mileage ratio, this is the car to get. On top of that, it's comfortable, there is plenty of room with hatchback and laying down back seats, I actually just put a dresser in it. And the seats leave lots of room for those who are taller. My brother in law is 6'4" and he fit comfortably as well. I highly recommend this car!

fabulous gas mileage

Just took my new car on a 1500 mile trip. The gas mileage met or exceeded what the manufacturer has listed. I was very impressed. I filled up 3 times and two were 5 gal and the third was 8 gal.
