I had a highly unsatisfactory experience with the service

I had a highly unsatisfactory experience with the service department at Lehigh Valley Honda. My 2022 Odyssey had an issue with paint peeling on the bumper, which should have been covered under the 3/36K mile OEM warranty. Here’s a detailed account of the ordeal: In February 2024, I visited the service department, and they took pictures of the peeling paint, promising to submit them for warranty approval to Honda. I was informed that the process might take some time. After hearing nothing for months, I followed up in July 2024. The service advisor initially tried to claim that the issue wasn’t covered because I didn’t purchase an additional paint warranty. When I pointed out this was incorrect, I was transferred to the service manager, Bronson. Bronson revealed that no action had been taken with the initial pictures and falsely informed me that I needed to call Honda corporate to get authorization for the warranty work. His attitude was dismissive and unhelpful, repeatedly stating, “I just follow procedures.” This is hardly the approach expected from someone in a managerial position tasked with solving problems and advocating for customers. Upon contacting Honda corporate, I confirmed that the dealership should have initiated the warranty repair process. Honda corporate even has a special department for handling such claims. They assured me they would clarify this with the dealership. While the frontline staff are friendly and helpful, the management at Lehigh Valley Honda’s service department falls short of representing the Honda brand effectively. Comparing this to my experience with Tesla’s warranty service, it’s clear why some car manufacturers fare better without intermediaries like Vinart/LV Honda. The dealership detracts from the overall ownership experience, despite Honda building excellent vehicles.

As a return customer with Lehigh Valley Honda we received knowledgeable and professional care by Dino Campbell . He sold us our 2011 CRV and also assisted with a smooth transition of a 2025 CRV hybrid and explained all the features in a way that we felt comfortable. He also sold a 2022 Ridgeline . We think he is an exceptional dedicated person.

Dealership was fine but the salesman was less than

Dealership was fine but the salesman was less than impressive. He literally knew nothing about the car, and if he did then he chose not to share it. He didn't know the price of the car, didn't know any of the safety features or amenities if the vehicle. He literally unlocked the car, turned on the AC and said nothing. On the way to the vehicle he made sure I knew to step over the dead baby bunny and not step on it like he did but didn't clean up the poor thing. I sat with I believe his name was Matthew after him and went over all the financing and warranty stuff and he was absolutely delightful to work with. He knew more about the car than Josh and answered all of my questions. I filled out the paperwork with him and make plans with Josh to pick the car up that Friday afternoon and when I arrived, he was nowhere to be found. No one knew where he was. He showed up after I had been handed the keys and was about to pull away. I didn't catch the name of the gentleman that helped me in his absence but he was great. I'm sure the dealership as a whole is good but Josh was a poor representation of the establishment.
