Above and beyond

Jim and Erin always make sure I get everything I want. Finally a service department you can rely on. I would recommend them to anybody. I wish I could remember the service tech Jim had come out to answer all my questions. Very satisfying.

Crooks

Worst dealership ever. Tried to st my trade in told me my blue booked car of 4500 they would only give me $250 to take it off my hands as a favor should have got up and left but I bought brand new explorer. We loved the car but had a few problems with rear brakes which I later found out explorers had this problem. Brake hangers will rust jack and heat up rear wheels rotors calipers and hub to RED hot seriously took out my rear wheel bearings in 15000 miles still plenty of warranty they would not fix the under warranty. Took vehicle to Metro Ford for repairs under warranty then traded that lemon off. I call it a lemon because we returned car at least ten times for same problem crappyside would tell us that we where abusing or misoperating vehicle. Screw them find another dealer and run away as fast as you can.

Friendly, courteous and helpful

Employees have always been very polite and helpful when being there for service, have not had a long wait time when getting an oil change, when asking questions they seem to have the correct answers

Not pushy, nice and relaxed

We were able to take our time and make a decision without someone breathing down our necks. Would buy our next vehicle with them also.

Not transparent

First notice when you visit their website that they've posted ONLY 5 STAR reviews (with only a couple 4-star ratings) out of 71 reviews at the time if this writing. Too good to be true in ANY industry. In the summer of 2017, my husband and I bought a Ford F-150 pickup truck for $43,000. Of course, they were running a 0% offer that was NEVER offered us. They said it just doesn't pay off in the long run. I asked what it would take to get that type of financing, and they talked around us again. In short, we put $25,000 DOWN, and were told the best financing they could do was 5.9%. When getting ready to sign (thinking we could re-finance), my husband asked what our rate was, and boom, the salesman (James) says, "oh, 6.9% is the best we could do with your credit rating" (which by the way is very welcomed in most financing forums -- my husband and I both well over 700)!!! They then show us a sheet showing "new standards on credit." They then said over and over, and over NOT to refinance for 3 months or they don't get their commission for setting up the finance. It is not about the customer at Countryside Ford, period! We did wait the 3 months to refinance, but they will be losing so much more. You see, I've told my story to all those I work with (and I have quite the contact list). We searched all over the state for the truck we wanted, and sadly, Countryside had it. They had us really. Never again though. If they would have done good business, we would have never forgot them (trust me), and those we know would have learned of that, too. In short, they are are not transparent. Even with my attention to detail, their trickery was not fully apparent until after the sale. Our bad judgement, or bad business?

Good People, but watch that contract

Just (8/26/17 I believe) bought a new Ford F150 Lariat ($43,000) from the Internet Salesman at Countryside Ford in Columbus, WI. They have year-end sales promotions offering 0%. My wife and I put down $25,000 (after years and years of saving for this day) and both have credit scores way over 700 (great credit in other words) and couldn't get an interest rate below 6% (6.9). Paying $61,000 when all done. The money loss is all our fault, of course, but the excitement blinded us in part. FOR STARTERS, DO NOT FOCUS ON YOUR MONTHLY PAYMENT! I knew they were being shifty and fast-paced to a degree as we signed away, but again, too excited to see the whole picture. We're thinking $43,000 + tax, license, title, etc., ya know? We relized after leaving that they have the worst (and I mean, THE WORST) maintenence coverage I have ever HEARD OF! They offered us 75,000 miles of covarage for $3,000+. Turns out, we're only going to get 33,000 miles of coverage for that $3,000 becasue it came with 42,000 miles of coverage to begin with. xxxx them! Much better off to hold on to that $3,000 yourself for repairs. I'm not overly bitter, because I signed the contract! However, this way of business has its price. In short, we'll never go back there, meaning I'll never buy another vehicle, or get service done there. All because they wanted to pull a few extra dollars from a hard working customer. Which in a lifetime, could easily add up to a couple hundred thousand dollars. When will people learn? Your best customer, is a return customer. Who knows, they might even lose one NEW customers because of my review? Oh sure, we'll refinance soon, but of course, they told us to please not do so for at least 3 months because they'll lose money if we do. Hmm, what would you do? Maybe they'll remember telling us it would be 5.9 % with our credit scores, and then remember our shock when we found out they put 6.9% on the contract before asking us if we'd like to go ahead. It sometimes seems there are no straight-forward business people anymore. So in review, you'll find them very nice at Countryside Ford in Columbus, Wi, but very tricky (aka money hungry) as well.
