Ford F-150s Are Recalled Over Transmission

I FEEL LIKE IT'S A SCAM-went in for a recall! Not only did they not fix the problem, they made it worse, so I have additional issues. now the dealer wants to charge me a diagnostics fee. so they didn't fix it under the FREE recall but are going to charging me to see why they didn't fix it! TALK ABOUT SUCKY CUSTOMER SERVICE! You would think Ford would want to know why it is still doing this if it is a safety issue and is dangerous according to the recall.."automatic transmissions may unexpectedly downshift into first gear while the vehicle is in motion".."it will cause a loss of vehicle control and increase the risk of a crash." Now I know why my husband drives a Dodge!

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. The recall that the vehicle was brought in for was to fix a potential problem with the transmission by reprogramming the computer. Your vehicle may or may not have been experiencing that issue, however we were providing the service as requested by Ford Motor Company. This recall does not fix pre-existing problems other than the downshift issue if applicable as described in your letter. From your note, it seems as though there were additional problems that we did offer to diagnose to assist in keeping your vehicle running in top condition.

Great Customer Care

We Started the process online and over the phone. By the time we got to the dealership our salesman, Mr Villanueva, made the process extremely easy. The service and attention we received was exceptional. They have continued to be as attentive after the purchase of our F150 truck

Very friendly sales, not pushy and very patient with...

Very friendly sales, not pushy and very patient with someone who is extremely picky (me) I bought a used vehicle here which did have some problems, some they were already going to fix but hadn't put the truck through the shop yet. They fixed all of the issues I found with the truck and even some extras that I wasnt too concerned about to mention to them. Exceptional service!
